FLUSHING, N.Y. – Taking a mid-week break from conference action, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 at Queens College on Wednesday night. The tight loss puts the Purple Knights' overall record at 3-4-3 this season (3-0-1, CACC).
After a scoreless first half, the hosts broke through in the 73rd minute on a corner-kick goal that saw Bradyn Brown head in a delivery from Miguel Soto Gonzalez.
Despite the loss, UB goalkeeper Magnus Midtlien put together a strong effort in net. The native of Norway registered six saves in the first half to keep the Purple Knights within striking distance.
