Volleyball Drops Three-Setter at New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – In the first of two road matches in less than 24 hours, the University of Bridgeport's volleyball team dropped a three-set match (25-21, 25-17, 25-21) at New Haven on Tuesday night. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 4-3 this season.

UB's senior duo of Paola Hernandez and Jaden Drollinger once again led the offensive attack. Hernandez recorded a team-high 12 kills in route to her her fourth double-double of the season (11 digs).

Drollinger aided in many of those put-aways as she dished out a match-high 26 assists to go along with 11 digs, two aces and two kills. Drollinger continues to rank No. 1 in the CACC this season in both total assists and assists per set.

Junior Lucia Tomiello led UB in hitting percentage (.438) on Tuesday night. She finished with eight kills while Kenyce Johnson and Grace Presswood each registered nine digs in the match.
