BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Facing a third consecutive nationally ranked opponent, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team endured a 4-0 defeat to No. 11 Jefferson on Saturday afternoon. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 2-4-3 overall, including a 2-3 mark in the CACC.
The Rams boasted four different goal-scorers, registering a pair of tallies in each half. Senior Nikki Dedes led the Jefferson attack with a penalty-kick goal in the 8th minute to go along with an assist in the second half.
Senior Chloe Oudin put the most pressure on for UB as she recorded all four of the Purple Knights' shots on goal in the contest.
Both goalkeepers finished with four saves in the game while Jefferson posted a 7-3 edge in corner-kick opportunities.
