Clarke of Men's Wrestling Garners CSC Academic All-District Honors

FULL CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENT
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - In recognition of an outstanding year in both the classroom and on the mat, sophomore Achilles Clarke of the University of Bridgeport's men's wrestling squad has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Clarke enjoyed a strong debut season for the Purple Knights as they launched a new era of men's wrestling at UB.
Competing at 285 pounds, Clarke appeared in 12 of UB's 13 competitions and finished the season with a 12-15 overall record. His standout performance came at the inaugural Bridgeport Open on Nov. 22, where he captured the heavyweight title with a perfect 5-0 record.
Clarke also turned in a sixth-place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational earlier in the season, helping highlight a promising first year in Purple and White.
A Sports Management major with a 3.50 cumulative GPA, the California native earned NWCA Scholar All-America honors following the 2025-26 campaign.
