BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Continuing a stretch of four straight home games, the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team rattled off a 16-7 win over Post on Tuesday at Knights Field. The decisive conference win pushes the Purple Knights' overall record to 5-3 this season, including 2-2 in the CACC.
Tara Dimaio and Emily Stuart powered the Purple Knights offensively with five goals apiece, as Dimaio also added a team-high three assists and a season-best six caused turnovers in a stellar all-around effort.
Cassidy Dalton chipped in a hat trick, Payton Noack scored twice, and Evelyn Edwards matched Dimaio with three assists as Bridgeport totaled 16 goals on the afternoon.
Defensively, the Purple Knights were just as impressive, piling up a season-high 21 caused turnovers, led by five from Kaley Maxwell, who also collected a career-high seven ground balls.
In net, Juliana Reyes anchored the effort with a season-high 11 saves, helping UB maintain control throughout the contest.
