Dundas of Men's Soccer Named CACC Defensive Player of the Week
Helped Purple Knights to a pair of victories, scored UB's first goal versus No. 23 Adelphi.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a standout week in which he helped the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team secure two wins, graduate student Samuel Dundas has been recognized as the CACC's Defensive Player of the Week. He joins teammate Kristians Prieditis as Purple Knights who have earned conference weekly awards this season.
Dundas played a pivotal role on both ends of the field for Bridgeport this past week. He helped a UB defense allow just one goal across two victories, including a clean sheet at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday.
Offensively, Dundas added his third goal of the season in a 2-1 win over No. 23 Adelphi, contributing to one of UB's biggest wins of the year.
Dundas and the rest of the Purple Knights will return to action on Wednesday (Nov. 5) for their regular-season finale against Dominican at 6 p.m. It will be UB's Senior Day at Knights Field.
