PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Coming off their nationally-ranked, mid-week win over No. 23 Adelphi, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team continued the momentum with a 2-0 triumph at Chestnut Hill College on Saturday. The road shutout puts the Purple Knights' overall record at 5-4-7 while staying unbeaten in conference play at 4-0-5.
Following more than 72 minutes of scoreless action, UB struck twice in a five-minute span to clinch a key road win.
Freshman Kristians Prieditis put the Purple Knights on the board with a beautifully hit one-timer that ricocheted off the inside the post into the back of the net.
Graduate student Ewen Le Cozic earned the assist after finding his Latvian teammate in the middle of the box.
Prieditis continues to be UB's leading scorer this season with five goals while Le Cozic picked up his first helper of the year.
Graduate student Enzo Beatrix added the insurance tally for the Purple Knights in the 79th minute. He is now UB's leader in points this year (12) off four goals and four assists.
Sophomore goalkeeper Viktor Mašek posted three saves to pick up his third clean sheet this season.
As a team, Bridgeport put together advantages of 23-7 in shots and 4-0 in corner kicks.

The Purple Knights will play their final game of the regular season on Wednesday (Nov. 5) against Dominican at 6 p.m. It will be Senior Day at Knights Field.
