WILMINGTON, Del. – Sitting as one of just two CACC teams that are still unbeaten in the conference this season, the University of Bridgeport's men's soccer team stayed that way on Saturday courtesy of a scoreless draw at Goldey-Beacom. The tight result puts the Purple Knights' record at 3-4-4 this season, including a 3-0-2 mark in the CACC.
Sophomore goalkeeper Viktor Mašek notched his second clean sheet of the season for UB. The Czech Republic native finished with seven stops and now ranks fifth in the CACC in save percentage (.780) and sixth in goals-against average (1.24).
On the other side, the Purple Knights put four shots on goal that were all denied by the Goldey-Beacom goalie. Joao Miranda tallied two of those attempts on target.
Bridgeport controlled the majority of the action in the second half, earning nine corner kicks across the final 45 minutes of regulation. In total, UB outshot Goldey-Beacom by an 11-9 margin.
