Big Second Half Lifts UB Men To 70-56 Road Win Over USciences

Philadelphia, Pa.-Trailing 34-29 at halftime, the University of Bridgeport men's basketball team outscored the host University of the Sciences Devils, 41-22, over the final 20 minutes of action to pick up a 70-56 non-conference triumph in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Purple Knights move to 3-1 on the season.  USciences slips to 2-3 overall.

The backcourt combo of senior D'Vonne Trumbo (Pilesgrove, N.J.) and junior Travis Robinson-Morgan (Elmont, N.Y.) led the Bridgeport offense, as they each scored 17 points.  Trumbo turned in a fine all- around game, as he also finished with seven steals and added six assists.

Junior Nemanja Zubac (Becka Palanka, Serbia) also reached double figures for the winners scoring 14 points on the afternoon.

Senior Bakary Camara (Harlem, N.Y.) and junior Hashem Abbas (Nablus, Palestine) led the Purple Knights on the backboards, as they each grabbed 10 rebounds.

Up next, the UB men's basketball team will travel to the Garden State of New Jersey to face Bloomfield College on Tuesday evening.  Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m.
