Cross Country Teams Compete At Post University Invitational
ECC Championships Up Next On Sunday For UB XC Squads
Waterbury, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport cross country teams traveled up Route 8 to compete in the Post University Invitational on Wednesday afternoon in Hop Brook Park in Waterbury, Connecticut and the men's team fell to the host Eagles, 23-32; while the women's team lost to Post, 24-31 and also fell to Caldwell College, 21-34.
On the women's side, graduate student Anna Krasnowska (Kedzierzyn-Kozie, Poland) was the Purple Knights' top finisher taking fourth place in a time of 22:38. Katie Stanley (Grad., Oxford, England) was the next UB woman across the finish line taking seventh place in a time of 23:45.
For the UB men, sophomore Adam Glantz (Helsginborg, Sweden) was the finisher taking second place in a time of 17:54.
The Bridgeport cross teams are next in action at the 2012 East Coast Conference Championship hosted by LIU Post on Sunday, October 21.
