Women's Wrestling Defeated Twice in First-Ever Home Dual Meet

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Competing in the first-ever University of Bridgeport women's wrestling home dual meet, the Purple Knights dropped matchups to Norwich University (35-5) and New England College (40-0) on Sunday inside Hubbell Gym.

Freshman Idalia Lopez led the Purple Knights with a pair of exhibition wins. The Georgia native pinned Norwich's Charlii Carbajal Sanchez (0:56) before earning a tech fall triumph (12-1 3:26) over NEC's Orla King.
