Volleyball’s Hailey Jessen Takes Home CACC Weekly Honor
Hailey Jessen Named CACC Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season.
New Haven, Conn. – University of Bridgeport women's volleyball standout Hailey Jessen (Fr., Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday. This is the fifth time that Jessen has taken home the honor this season.
Hailey continued here stellar inaugural collegiate season, accumulating 52 kills across three matches last week. Jessen averaged 4.3 kills per set with a .306 hitting percentage during this stretch.
The outside hitter's week was highlighted by an error free, 16 kill performance against Caldwell University in which she amassed a .667 hitting percentage. The effort helped the purple Knights to a 3-0 sweep of the Cougars.
Up next for UB women's volleyball, the Purple Knights will host the Bloomfield College Bears home at the Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium. Match start time set for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25th.
