Jaden Drollinger And Hailey Jessen Earn Weekly CACC Volleyball Honors
Purple Knights Return To The Court On Tuesday Evening At Home Versus AIC
New Haven, Conn.-A pair of University of Bridgeport volleyball standouts in junior Jaden Drollinger (Queens Creek, Ariz.) and freshman Hailey Jessen (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) have earned weekly Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference awards for their outstanding play in matches that took place from October 9 through 15, 2023.
Drollinger, who become only the second student-athlete in UB women's volleyball program history to surpass the 3,000 career assist plateau on Saturday at Wilmington (Del.) University, earned CACC Setter of the Week honors, as she averaged 11.2 assists per set on the week, as she went over 50 helpers in both of the Purple Knights' matches last week. Jaden also averaged 3.0 digs per set and chipped in a total of six kills, three blocks and two service aces on the week.
Jessen was named the conference's Rookie of the Week, as she slammed an average of 5.3 kills per set with a .324 hitting percentage. In two matches last week, Hailey had a total of 48 kills and added seven digs and two assists on the week.
Up next, Drollinger and Jessen plus their UB women's volleyball teammates will host American International College on Tuesday night in Hubbell Gym at 7:00 p.m.
