Katarina Krstonosic Named ECC Women's Volleyball Player Of The Week For The Second Time This Season
Freshman Ellie Rich Named To ECC Honor Roll
Krstonosic, who enters this week's action with four straight double-doubles of kills and digs, averaged an impressive 4.55 kills and 4.36 digs per set in three UB wins last week. In a four-set win at Molloy, she had 19 kills and 10 digs, and Katarina followed that with 17 kills and 20 digs in a four-set win over NYIT. In a sweep over Southern New Hampshire, she had 14 kills and 18 digs. On the week, Krstonosic hit .366, and she leads the team averaging 3.67 kills per set.
Teammate, freshman setter Ellie Rich (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) earned a spot of this week's ECC Honor Roll for her outstanding play during the same period from September 21-27, 2015.
The UB women's volleyball team will be busy this week playing a total of five matches, as the Purple Knights travel to LIU Post on Tuesday night, host Mercy on Thursday evening and Bentley on Friday and wrap up the week with a tri-match at Southern Connecticut State with Merrimack on Saturday afternoon.
