Women's Volleyball Begins 2015 Campaign Versus Arkansas Ft. Smith On September 4th In West Florida Tourney
Purple Knights Will Look For Fourth Straight ECC Crown This Season
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's volleyball team, under the direction of head coach Gary Mullin, who begins his second season on the Purple Knights' bench, will open its 2015 season on Friday, September 4 when they travel to Pensacola, Florida to take part in the Hampton Inn Invitational hosted by West Florida that will take place on the 4th and 5th. Bridgeport will open the season with a match against Arkansas-Fort Smith, an NCAA Division II semifinalist last season.
The Purple Knights' home opener will take place on Thursday, September 24 when UB hosts NYIT at 7:00 p.m. in Hubbell Gym. Bridgeport will open its 2015 East Coast Conference schedule at Molloy College on Tuesday, September 22.
The UB volleyball program went 26-3 overall in 2014 and reached the NCAA Division II East Regionals for the seventh straight season and hosted the event for the second straight season. The Purple Knights also captured their third consecutive East Coast Conference Championship last season after going a perfect 16-0 in ECC play during the regular season.
