Biljana Savic Named ECC Volleyball Player of the Week

Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport senior Biljana Savic (Novi Sad, Serbia) has been selected as the East Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week her outstanding play dusting the week of September 15 through 21, 2014.

Savic helped the Purple Knights go a perfect 3-0 on the week with wins over Dowling, Roberts Wesleyan and Daemen and showed just how complete her all-around game is by averaging 3.50 kills/set with a .320 attack percentage, 6.2 assists/set, 1.4 digs/set and 0.5 service aces/set. In a four-set win at Roberts Wesleyan, Biljana narrowly missed a triple-double with 20 kills, 19 assists and nine digs.

Biljana and her teammates, who enter this week's action with an 8-1 overall record and a 3-0 ECC mark, will play two matches this week hosting Molloy on Tuesday night and traveling to NYIT on Thursday.
