Women's Swimming & Diving Finishes Seventh at ECAC Winter Championships
UB racked up 531.5 points against a field of mostly Division I programs to finish second among DII squads.

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – Highlighted by a total of 15 top-15 finishers, the University of Bridgeport's women's swimming and diving team placed seventh at the three-day ECAC Winter Championships held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center on Long Island. UB racked up 531.5 points against a field of mostly Division I programs to finish second among DII squads.
SUNDAY RECAP
The Purple Knights wrapped up their busy weekend with several solid swims across the final session.
In the 1650-free, Luca Olsen led the way with an 11th-place finish in 18:19.14, and Patricia Torviso added an 18th-place showing in 18:44.12.
Hazel Clark followed with an 18th-place result in the 200-back, touching in 2:14.14.
In the 100-free, Ceyda Genç delivered a strong 14th-place finish with a time of 53.37.
The Purple Knights placed three swimmers in the top 22 of the 200-breast, as Pierina Ferraresi took 11th in 2:28.71, Cristal Margarita Gómez Rodriguez placed 13th in 2:30.15, and Ania Mrozik finished 22nd in 2:37.51.
Bridgeport closed the weekend out with an eighth-place finish in the 400-free relay, as Genç, Clark, Gómez Rodriguez and Olsen combined for a time of 3:36.13.
