Women's Swimming and Diving Defeated by Felician in Home NE10 Dual Meet
Purple Knights tally five wins and five second-place performances.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Competing at home for a second straight NE10 dual meet, the University of Bridgeport's women's swimming and diving team was defeated by Felician University on Friday by a score of 122-84. The Purple Knights finished with five individual wins and five second-place performances.
Freshman Patricia Torviso led the way for the Purple Knights, earning a pair of wins against the Golden Falcons. The Spaniard captured the 800-free in 10:02.48 before adding another victory in the 400-free with a time of 4:52.60.
Classmate Luca Olsen also shined, claiming first place in the 200-free (2:14.46) and securing a runner-up finish in the 100-free (1:02.07).
Another freshman Ceyda Genç continued her terrific early season by taking the top spot in the 100-fly (1:06.89) and finishing second in the 50-free (28.32).
Cristal Margarita Gómez Rodriguez added more points for UB with a second-place showing in the 100-breast (1:17.65), while sophomore diver Amber Militrano contributed on the boards, tallying 104.63 points in the one-meter event.

Bridgeport will travel to Assumption University next Friday for dual meet against the Greyhounds at 3 p.m.
