LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Entering the afternoon on a three-game conference winning streak, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team kept it rolling on Saturday with a 2-0 win at Lincoln University. The win improves the Purple Knights' record to 6-6-3 overall this season, including a 5-3 mark in the CACC.
Brooke Boucher provided both of Bridgeport's goals against the Lions. The senior, who now leads UB in points this season (17), found the back of the net in each half.
Boucher's first tally came in the sixth minute off an assist from Leigh-Ann Ramsay. Ramsay now has four helpers this season and 14 total points (2nd on team).
Boucher added to UB's lead in the 61st minute courtesy of a penalty kick. The Canadian took the opportunity to register her sixth tally of the season (team high).
Defensively, it was a dominant effort from the road squad. In fact, UB's victorious goalkeeper Angelina Griva did not see a shot on net.
The Purple Knights posted an 8-1 advantage in total shots, putting five of those attempts on goal.
