BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing their final non-conference game of the regular season, the University of Bridgeport's women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 contest to Assumption on Wednesday night. The loss shifts the Purple Knights' record to 3-6-3 this year.
Leigh-Ann Ramsay provided UB's lone goal of the night in the 46th minute—just seconds into the second half. The senior put the finishing touches on an assist by classmate Kristi Jazdzewski.
Jazdzewski found a streaking Ramsay down the left sidelines, who finished nicely on a tough angle in the right-corner of the net.
Assumption earned a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute before putting in two more goals in the second half. The Greyhounds took a 2-1 lead in the 56th minute and then scored a third goal in the 60th.
