Bridgeport Women's Soccer Holds Steady At Number Five In Final NCAA Regional Rankings Of The Season

Indianapolis, Indiana-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, have held steady at number five in the third and final NCAA Division II Regional Rankings of the year.  UB at number five, Molloy at number three and Mercy at number seven give the East Coast Conference three squads listed among the nine programs that are in the current rankings. 

Having not qualified for the 2021 East Coast Conference Championship Tournament that will be played this weekend whose winner will receive an automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament, the Purple Knights must now hope to be one of the four at-large teams that will be included in the NCAA East Regional when the entire NCAA Championship field is announced at 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening.

The UB women's soccer team will closed out its 2021 regular with an 11-6-1 overall record.  Bridgeport won its last five matches of the regular season and is unbeaten in seven consecutive outings.
