Purple Knights Set To Open Conference Play This Weekend With a 3-0-1 Overall Mark
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, is ranked number seventeen this week's second regular season NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's National Poll. Last week, the Purple Knights were ranked number 11 after holding down the number 20 slot in the 2014 preseason poll.
UB checks in at number three in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Regional rankings. The Purple Knights trail the College of St. Rose and Adelphi University in the regional rankings.
Bridgeport remained unbeaten so far this season at 3-0-1 with a 1-0 win at Georgian Court University yesterday.
This week, the Bridgeport women's soccer team will open its home and East Coast Conference schedules hosting Roberts Wesleyan College on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Daemen College at 12 noon on Sunday.
