Purple Knights Face Southern New Hampshire On Wednesday Afternoon
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, has moved up nine spots from a preseason number 20 ranking to number 11 in this week's 2014 first regular season NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's National Poll.
The Purple Knights opened this season with a pair of wins at last weekend's LIU Post Women's Soccer Classic topping 2013 NCAA Division Semifinalist American International College, 2-1, and defeating Southern Connecticut State, 1-0.
UB checks in at number two in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Regional rankings. The Purple Knights trail the College of St. Rose in the regional rankings.
This week, the Bridgeport women's soccer team play one match, traveling to Southern New Hampshire University this afternoon (Wednesday, September 10) for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
