UB Women's Soccer Holds Steady At Number 16 In NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Poll
Purple Knights Face NYIT On Saturday In Only Action Of The Week
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, has remained steady in this week's NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Poll at number 16 in the nation for the second straight week. UB entered the national rankings at number 20 month ago and slotted in at number 15 three weeks ago.
The Purple Knights, who are currently 14-1-0 on the season and winners of 14 straight matches, play only one match this week when they host NYIT on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the team's final regular season home contest.
The UB women's soccer team also held steady at number three in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Regional rankings. The Purple Knights trail the College of St. Rose and American International College who are one and two in the region.
