Bridgeport Women's Soccer Checks In At Number 16 In The Nation This Week In NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Poll
Purple Knights Set To Play Three Road Matches This Week
Bridgeport, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport women's soccer team, under the direction of head coach Magnus Nilerud, has moved down one spot in this week's NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Women's Soccer National Poll to number 16 in the nation after being ranked number 15 in last week's poll. UB entered the national rankings at number 20 three weeks ago and slotted in at number 16 two weeks ago.
The Purple Knights, who are currently 11-1-0 on the season and winners of 11 straight matches, play at Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon and travel to Roberts Wesleyan College on Friday and Daemen College on Sunday.
UB held steady at number three in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II East Regional rankings. The Purple Knights trail the College of St. Rose and American International College who are one and two in the region.
