Danielle Puddefoot Named East Coast Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player Of The Week
Helped Her Team To Two Wins Last Week Scoring Five Goals With Two Assists
Central Islip, N.Y.-University of Bridgeport sophomore Danielle Puddefoot (Slough, England) has been selected as this week's East Coast Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding play in a pair of UB road wins in matches played from September 10 through 16, 2012.
In last week's two wins, Puddefoot scored a total of five goals and added two assists for a total of 12 points. In a 3-2 win at Wilmington (Del.) on Thursday, Puddefoot scored a goal and had one assist, but that was only an appetizer for the heroics that she would produce in her team's 5-4 ECC-opening win at NYIT on Saturday. In that victory, Danielle scored four goals and had an assist, plus she headed home the game-winner with only 2:05 to play in regulation.
Puddefoot and her Bridgeport teammates are next in action on Wednesday night when they host Queens (N.Y.) College in the Purple Knights' 2012 home opener.
