Men's Wrestling Caps Year at NCAA Super Regionals
Matt Ryan leads the way with a fifth-place finish at 157 lbs.
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Wrapping up their first varsity season in many years, the University of Bridgeport's men's wrestling team competed at the NCAA Super Regionals on Saturday in East Stroudsburg, Pa.
Junior Matt Ryan led the way for the Purple Knights with a fifth-place finish at 157 lbs. He put together a 3-2 record, highlighted by a major decision (15-2) against Austin High (Fairmont State) and a decision (8-4) over Gavin Reynolds (East Stroudsburg).
Cam White (165 lbs) also recorded a victory on Saturday with a pin against Anthony Lawrence of East Stroudsburg.
