Men's Wrestling Goes 1-2 at Bantam Duals

HARTFORD, Conn. – Following a weekend off, the University of Bridgeport's men's wrestling team returned to action this past Saturday at the Bantam Duals held at nearby Trinity College. The Purple Knights dropped dual meets to the host Bantams (51-5) and Springfield College (52-0) before earning a win over Hunter College (29-21).

The Purple Knights were led by a pair of tech-fall victories by Matt Ryan. The junior went a perfect 2-0 on the day, starting with a 17-3 win over Trinity's Chase Ledbury before tallying a 15-0 triumph over Hunter's Jack Kent.

UB's three other wins on the afternoon came against Hunter. Gatlin Krepela (149 lbs) and Anthony Morales (157 lbs) each picked up decisions while Cam White (184) secured a pin.
