Women's Lacrosse Dominates STAC in Home Opener, 21-1
Purple Knights, now 2-1 this season, scored the first 20 goals of the game.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Playing at home for the first time in 2026, the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team rattled off a 21-1 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College on Wednesday afternoon. The decisive victory puts the Purple Knights' record at 2-1 this season.
UB seized control immediately, erupting for an 11-0 run in the opening quarter and eventually scoring 20 unanswered goals en route to the commanding win.
For the second straight game, the duo of Payton Noack and Tara Dimaio powered the Bridgeport offense, each scoring seven goals to pace the attack.
Noack also tied with Emily Stuart for the team lead with six draw controls, helping UB dominate possession throughout the contest.
Bridgeport received additional offensive contributions from Dani Strong and Molly Blackadar, who both finished with two goals, while Cassidy Dalton, Katlyn Strong and Evelyn Edwards also found the back of the net.
Edwards played a major role in orchestrating the offense, dishing out a career-best five assists to go along with her goal.
The Purple Knights controlled play from start to finish, outshooting the Spartans 30-6 and winning the draw control battle, 16-8, while nine different Bridgeport players registered at least one caused turnover in a strong defensive effort.
