Noack of Women's Lacrosse Named CACC Rookie of the Week
Freshman registered team highs in both goals (11) and draw controls (15) during UB's 1-1 stretch.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a pair of sensational collegiate debuts, freshman Payton Noack of the University of Bridgeport's women's lacrosse team has been named as the CACC's Rookie of the Week.
Noack turned in a tremendous stretch for the Purple Knights, leading the team with 11 goals during a 1-1 start to the season. The Long Islander erupted for seven of those tallies in UB's 20-7 victory at Ferrum on Saturday. She also controlled the center circle, finishing the week with a team-high 15 draw controls while adding two ground balls and an assist. Through the opening games, Noack leads the CACC in both goals (5.5) and points (6.0) per contest.
Noack and the rest of UB's women's lacrosse team will return to action on Wednesday with a home game against STAC (3 p.m.).
