Gymnastics Notches Season-High 194 on Senior Day
Purple Knights now gear up for the 2025 GEC Championship Meet next weekend at Penn.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – In their fourth and final home meet of the season, the University of Bridgeport's gymnastics team posted a season-best score on Sunday. The Purple Knights will head into next weekend's GEC Championship meet with terrific momentum following a mark of 194.000.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
A pair of event winners and eight top-five finishers highlighted UB's terrific performance on Senior Day.
Sophomore Nova Staruk set the tone with a sensational 9.825 on vault which topped all participants on the afternoon. She has now surpassed 9.820 across four consecutive meets.
Emily Hernandez also excelled on vault with a third-place mark of 9.750. She followed that up with an even higher score on bars. Hernandez rattled off a season-best 9.775 to win the bars competition on Sunday.
Abby Kenney performed well on bars as well. She placed third with a mark of 9.675. Kenney followed that up with another third-place finish on beam (9.850) which was her second highest score of the year.
The Purple Knights saved some of their best efforts for last as they posted their highest event score of the day on floor.
UB put four in the top-seven of the leaderboard, including a team-best 9.800 from Maggie Coyle to place fifth.
Skyler Vulchev (9.775), Lola Sepulveda (9.750) and Kenney (9.750) also snagged high marks as UB posted its second highest total on floor this season.

The Purple Knights will compete at the Gymnastics East Conference Championships at the University of Pennsylvania next Saturday (March 22).
