Mark Sorrentino Named WCGA Women's Gymnastics Assistant Coach Of The Year
His Expertise Has Helped UB To An Excellent 2023 Season

Bridgeport, Conn.-The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) released its annual postseason regional awards this week, and University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics assistant coach Mark Sorrentino has been recognized for his outstanding work the 2023 Purple Knights' squad with this selected as a Co-NCAA Division 2 Assistant Coach of the Year by the organization. Mark shares the award with Stephanie Plaugher of West Chester and Texas Woman's University's Kristen Harold and Matt DeGrandpre.
Coach Sorrentino and the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team will close out their 2023 season at the USAG Collegiate National Championship Meet in Denton, Texas hosted by Texas Woman's University form Thursday through Sunday.
