Five Purple Knights Earn 2023 All-GEC Honors
Nicole Javinett, Lola Sepulveda and Kieran Ross Named 1st Team All-Conference Plus Joanna Chambers and Olivia Imbarlina Take Home Second Team All-Conference Honors
West Chester, Pa.-Five standouts from the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team have been recognized for their outstanding performances in competitions throughout the 2023 season with spots on this season's Gymnastics East All-Conference Teams that were announced on Tuesday afternoon. Places on the All-GEC Squads are determined by NQS per event. First Team is the top six scores including ties. Second Team is the next six scores including ties.
Three Purple Knights took home First Team All-GEC accolades in senior Nicole Javinett (Marlboro, N.Y.) on the balance beam and freshman Lola Sepulveda (Woodbridge, Va.) and junior Kieran Ross (Reno, Nev.) in the all-around.
Taking home Second Team All-GEC honors for the 2023 season are senior Joanna Chambers (Georgetown, Tex.) on the vault and sophomore Olivia Imbarlina (Pittsburgh, Pa.) on the balance beam.
This Saturday, UB gymnastics team heads for Williamsburg, Virginia to compete in the 2023 Gymnastics East Conference Championship Meet hosted by William & Mary. Action will begin at 12 noon.
