Senior Maya Reimers Selected ECAC Gymnast of the Week

Danbury, Conn.-University of Bridgeport senior Maya Reimers (New York, N.Y.) has been named this week's ECAC NCAA Division II Women's Gymnast of the Week for her outstanding performance on February, 29, 2020 at Southern Connecticut State University.

Maya posted three solid scores for the Purple Knights in their five-team meet at SCSU, as she took the title on floor with her 9.925, showing off a sky-high double layout. Her 9.825 beam score was the highest on the floor for the UB, and Reimers ended her day with a sky-high layout full on vault.

This week, the UB women's gymnastics team travels to the University of Arizona to face the host Wildcats and Ohio State University on Sunday.
