Senior Brianna Comport Selected ECAC Division II Specialist of the Week
Helped The Purple Knights To A Season-Best Team Score At Arizona State On Friday Night
Danbury, Conn.-The University of Bridgeport senior women's gymnast Brianna Comport (Gilbertsville, Pa.) has been ECAC Division II Specialist of the Week for her outstanding performances in action that took place from March 6 through March 12, 2017.
Comport posted three first-place finishes in four events across two meets for the Purple Knights last week. The senior began the week by winning the beam (9.950) and tying for first in the floor exercise with teammate Maya Reimers with a mark of 9.9. She then took top spot on beam against Arizona State University and Sacramento State University, scoring 9.925 on the apparatus.
Up next, the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team will take part in the 2017 ECAC Division II Championship Meet hosted by West Chester University of Saturday at 12 noon.
