Four UB Women's Gymnasts Earn 2016 NCAA Nods
Will Compete In The Ann Arbor Regional on Saturday, April 2nd
Indianapolis, Indiana-Four members of the University of Bridgeport women's gymnastics team have been recognized for their outstanding performances during the 2016 season with the selection by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to this year's NCAA Women's Gymnastics National Championship as individual competitors.
Earning NCAA nods from UB are juniors Brianna Comport (Gilbertsville, Pa.), Randi Cutolo (S. Jordan, Utah) and Christine Liautaud (Cary, Illinois) plus freshman Kelsey Campbell (Las Vegas, Nev.). The quartet, who helped the Purple Knights capture their eighth straight ECAC Division II crown this past Saturday, will participate in the Ann Arbor Regional hosted by the University of Michigan on Saturday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m.
Comport will compete on the balance beam and in the floor exercise. Cutolo will join Comport in the floor exercise, and Liautaud take part in the Regional on the uneven bars. Campbell is an alternate in the all-around competition.
