Bridgeport, Conn.-University of Bridgeport senior gymnast Monica Mesalles Sallares (Barcelona. Spain) is currently tied for fifth place in the nation at any level of intercollegiate gymnastics (NCAA Division I, II, and III) in the floor exercise event. So far in 2013, she has posted an average score of 9.900 in the event.
The weekend, Monica and her UB teammates will be busy competing in a quad meet at Yale on Saturday afternoon, February 16 and traveling to the University of Pennsylvania the following afternoon.
