Sasha Tsikhanovich Earns ECAC Division II Gymnast Of The Week Honors
Sophomore Helped UB To A Pair Of First Place Team Finishes Last Weekend
Centerville, Mass.-University of Bridgeport sophomore Sasha Tsikhanovich (Marysville, Ohio) has been selected as the ECAC Division II Gymnast of the Week for her outstanding performances in two meets last weekend (January 19 and 20).
Tsikhanovich helped the Purple Knights to a pair of solid quad meet first place finishes against strong competition on Saturday and Sunday, January 19 and 20 at Rutgers and Brown Universities. At Rutgers, she was second in the all-around with a total of 39.025, as she won the floor exercise and was second on the beam and the bars. At Brown, Tsikhanovich won the all-around with a score of 39.375 as she won the beam and took second place in the other three individual events.
This week, Sasha and her teammates travel to Maryland for a meet hosted by Towson University on Saturday afternoon , January 26.
