Monica Mesalles Fares Well In All-Around At Division I Ann Arbor Regional

Ann Arbor, Mich.-University of Bridgeport sophomore gymnast Monica Mesalles (Barcelona, Spain) took tenth place in the All-Around competition at the NCAA Division Regional hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Saturday night.

Monica posted a total score of 38.775 in the four events.  Her top event was the balance beam on which scored a 9.800 which was good for 12th place.  Her other scores were 9.750 on the vault, 9.675 in the floor exercise and 9.550 on the bars.

Mesalles and her teammates now turn their attention to next weekend's USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championship in Colorado Springs, Colorado where the Purple Knights will be looking for their third straight national team title.  The United State Air Force Academy will serve as the host for this year's USAG Collegiate Nationals.
