RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team (9-15, 7-12 CACC) saw a three-point lead slip away in the fourth quarter on Wednesday night, falling at Felician (20-7, 14-5 CACC) by a score of 59-50.
After battling through 22 lead changes and taking a 46-43 advantage into the final period, the Purple Knights were held to just four points in the fourth quarter as the Golden Falcons closed the game with a 16-4 run.
Bridgeport was paced offensively by the trio of Savannah Prescott, Nicole Benini and Zahkiyyah Frazier, who combined for 31 of UB's 50 points.
Prescott led the way with 12 points while adding three assists, two steals and three rebounds in 36 minutes of action.
Prescott has now reached double figures in 17 contests this season as she continues to lead UB in points per game (10.8).
Benini contributed 10 points, including a pair of three-pointers, while Frazier added nine points and tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Mireya Johnson also pulled down six boards to match Frazier and dished out a team-best four assists in the setback.
UB's team totals wrapped up at 19-of-56 (33.9%) from the floor, 6-for-23 (26.1%) from three-point range and 6-of-14 (42.9%) from the free-throw line.
