PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Facing the CACC's only remaining undefeated team on the road, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball squad was defeated at Holy Family (21-3, 16-0 CACC) on Saturday by a score of 75-39. The Purple Knights fall to 7-9 in conference play this season which is currently sixth in the CACC standings.
Savannah Prescott and Jaelyn Choi paced the Purple Knights offensively, finishing with 10 points apiece while each connecting on a pair of three-pointers.
Prescott, Bridgeport's leading scorer at 11.0 points per game this season, has now reached double figures in 15 contests.
Nicole Benini and Zahkiyyah Frazier chipped in six points each, with Benini also leading the team defensively with two steals.
On the glass, Mireya Johnson delivered a strong effort, pulling down a career-high nine boards to anchor UB's rebounding attack.
