Women's Basketball Receives Acknowledgement on WBCA's Academic Honor Roll
Purple Knights posted 3.41 GPA during 2024-25 school year.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team earned a special mention on the 2024–25 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. The Purple Knights finished this past school year with a 3.41 cumulative team GPA.
The WBCA Academic Top 25 annually honors women's basketball programs across all divisions that achieve the highest combined GPAs. The 2024–25 season marks the 30th year the WBCA has compiled the honor roll.
Bridgeport, piloted by head coach Jimmy Howard, was one of just 119 programs honored across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and two-year colleges. Programs earning at least a 3.0 GPA receive special mention acknowledgement.
