WEST HAVEN, Conn. – In the first of five straight non-conference contests, the University of Bridgeport's women's basketball team (1-9) dropped a 59-37 contest at the University of New Haven (7-1) on Wednesday night.
Sophomore Harmony Earth-Wiley led the Purple Knights with 10 points off the bench. She matched Shakira Hester for the team lead with seven rebounds in the game.
UB's offense also featured a pair of three-pointers from Kaleigh Valle and two buckets from Niyah Whitten. Eight different players registered points for Bridgeport.
As a unit, the Purple Knights finished 14-of-60 (23.3%) from the field. They made just four of their 19 attempts from beyond the arc.
