Bridgeport, Conn.-Due to the heavy snow that hit the Bridgeport-area, this Sunday's (February 10, 2013) University of Bridgeport home East Coast Conference basketball doubleheader versus Molloy College has been moved to Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
Game times will be 5:00 p.m. for the women and 7:00 p.m. for the men.
Sunday's "Donate Life" Day activities will now take place at the Purple Knights' next home games versus Queens (N.Y.) College on Saturday, February 16, as all proceeds from the day (all tickets sales and a variety of raffles) will be donated to the Donate Life Connecticut organization to help raise awareness about organ and tissue donations to help save lives. Action gets underway next Saturday with the women's game at 1:00 p.m.; followed by the men's game at 3:00 p.m.
The Bridgeport basketball teams are next in action this Wednesday, February 13 at NYIT. The men's game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., and the women are slated to hit the court at 8:00 p.m.
Another Bridgeport event that fell victim to the Blizzard of 2013 is Sunday's gymnastic meet that was slated for Brown University. That meet will now take place on Tuesday, March 12 at 5:00 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
