Women's Basketball Picked Fourth In 2011-12 Preseason ECC Poll
Purple Knights Begin Season At Adelphi On November 12th
Central Islip, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport women's basketball team, under the direction of second-year head coach Stephanie Del Preore, has been picked to finish fourth in this season's East Coast Conference women's basketball race in a preseason poll of conference coaches that was released on Friday morning
The Purple Knights, who posted a 17-14 overall record and advanced to title game of the ECC Championship Tournament last season, received one first place vote and 54 points. St. Thomas Aquinas topped the ECC preseason poll with 75 points and five first place votes; C.W. Post was second with 67 points and two first place votes and Dowling checks in third place with 61 points.
The UB women's basketball team opens its 2011-12 season at Adelphi University on Saturday, November 12th.
