Women's Basketball Fall At ECC-Leading St. Thomas Aquinas, 62-48

Sparkill, N.Y.-The St. Thomas Aquinas Lady Spartans remained undefeated in East Coast Conference play at 7-0 (11-3 overall) with a 62-48 home win over the visiting University of Bridgeport Purple Knights on Saturday afternoon.  The victory also runs STAC's winning streak to eight straight games.  UB falls to 5-6 overall and is an even 3-3 in conference play.

Sophomore Shpresa Liharevic led the Lady Spartans, who had four players reach double figures in scoring, with 20 points.  Liharevic hit four-of-five three shots on the  afternoon.

UB senior Kelly Keil (Sparta, N.J.) led the Purple Knights with 14 points.  Keil was the only UB player to reach double figures as the Purple Knights were limited to a season low 48 points.

Bridgeport is back in action on Monday at C.W. Post University.  Game time on Long Island is set for 5:00 p.m.
