Perreault Tabbed CACC Softball Player of the Week for Second Time
Batted .435 with 15 RBIs and five home runs during UB's 4-2 stretch.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following a red-hot stretch at the plate last week, junior Sydnee Perreault of the University of Bridgeport's softball team has been named CACC Player of the Weke for the second time this season on Monday. She also earned the honor on March 30.
Perreault put together a monster week at the dish, batting .435 (10-for-23) with a remarkable 15 RBIs to power the Purple Knights to a 4-2 record. She slugged five home runs and added two doubles while scoring nine runs over the six-game stretch. Perreault delivered her most dominant performance in Saturday's 11-3 win at Jefferson, blasting three home runs in the victory. With the explosive week, she now sits tied atop the CACC with eight home runs this season.
Perreault and the rest of UB's softball team will return to action on Wednesday with a home doubleheader against Caldwell (2:30 p.m.).
