Softball's Ledger Claims CACC Pitcher of the Week Honors
Tossed a complete-game two-hitter during UB's 4-1 win over AIC on Saturday.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following an excellent outing in the Purple Knights' home opener on Saturday, junior Samantha Ledger of the University of Bridgeport's softball team has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Pitcher of the Week.
Ledger posted another outstanding performance in the circle during UB's 4-1 win over AIC, tossing a complete-game two-hitter. The right-hander struck out two and carried a shutout into the seventh inning, allowing her lone run late in the contest. With the victory, Ledger improved to a perfect 4-0 on the season and now holds a CACC-leading 1.49 ERA across 42.1 innings pitched.
Ledger and the rest of UB's softball team will return to action on Wednesday with a home doubleheader against Adelphi.
