Cross Country Teams Wrap Up 2018 Seasons At ECC Championship Meet Hosted By Roberts Wesleyan
UB Men Take Eighth Place And Women Finish In Ninth
Rochester, N.Y.-The University of Bridgeport cross country teams wrapped up their 2018 seasons on Saturday at the annual East Coast Conference Championship meet hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College, and the UB men took eighth place (224 points) and the Bridgeport women finished in the ninth position (275 points). The host Roberts Wesleyan College Redhawks won both the men's and women's ECC Cross Country titles.
Top finisher for the men was sophomore Kari Hassinen (Helsinki, Finland), who covered the 8K course in a time of 33:43.5, which was good for the 39th scoring place.
On the women's side, as she has at every meet in 2018, junior Andrea Terranova (Haverhill, Mass.) was the Purple Knights' top finished cross the line over the 5K course in a time of 25:21.2 which put her in the 48th scoring position.
