Choi of Men's Track and Field Selected as CACC's Field Rookie of the Week
Tossed a CACC-qualifying, school-record mark in the hammer throw at the Wilton Wright Invitational.
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Following standout efforts at SCSU's Wilton Wright Invitational last Friday, freshman Jeremy Choi of the University of Bridgeport's men's track and field team has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's (CACC) Field Rookie of the Week.
Choi put together a record-setting and conference-qualifying performance in New Haven last week. The Queens, N.Y. native placed 14th in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.89 meters, establishing both a personal record and a new UB program standard. He also recorded a personal best in the discus with a throw of 33.90 meters.
